Solar project to benefit communities around Elizabeth National park

The long-standing human-wildlife conflict among the communities living at queen Elizabeth national park may soon come to an end following the installation of solar power in the area. The solar system technology generating over 170 kilowatts that will supply power to estimated 1800 households and 250 businesses shall enable the people to create alternative sources of livelihoods and be able to peacefully coexist with the wild animals.
