New Fosera product IGNITE to be PAYGO-enabled by PaygOps’ OpenPAYGO Token

Daniel Goldbach, Head Engineer at Fosera, claims: “Our experience with the integration of the OpenPAYGO Token was a highly positive experience. Working with the PaygOps team, everything worked very smoothly with regular contact between both teams to build a product that has been much in demand by our customers. We are very much looking forward to this launch.”

Fosera, a leading German manufacturer of modular SHS, has expanded its product portfolio with the recent release of the fosera.IGNITE. Designed to meet all needs of an off-grid household, ranging from light to fridges, TV and fan, the fosera.IGNITE device is replacing the successful fosera.LSHS, as it comes with many improved features such as battery protection, making the system even more durable and reliable in off-grid settings.

The innovative fosera.IGNITE is PAYGO compatible through the OpenPAYGO Token, an open source technology built by PaygOps and The EnAccess Foundation that aims at enabling any product with Paygo capability which is compatible with any Paygo management platform, including PaygOps. The fosera.IGNITE keypad allows the user to get information about how many exact days of PAYGO credit are left or recieve the PAYGO ID code in case it is lost, by using specific Fosera codes.

Thibault Lesueur, co-founder and CMO at Solaris Offgrid, to add: “many hardware manufacturers and last-mile distributors have experienced challenges due to the lack of interoperability among PAYGO softwares; we are proud to partner with Fosera, one of the world leaders in the off-grid energy sector, to lead the change towards a more flexible environment”.

This new PaygOps enabled product confirms the ambition of Fosera and Solaris Offgrid to provide high-quality, turnkey and interoperable solutions. Thanks to the OpenPAYGO Token, distributors including the fosera.IGNITE into their offer, will be capable of managing the devices with any PAYGO software and therefore reduce risks and costs related to the lock-in mechanisms that used to lock distributors into compatibility with only one software provider.
