The Startup|Energy initiative for the promotion of East African start-ups in the field of decentralised renewable energy supply has received another supporting member with SolarAid.
The importance of the initiative – with GIZ as the main sponsor – is also shown by the fact that a total of 46 local start-ups have applied for Energy Camp East Africa! Five participants will now be selected from these applicants.
Benefits for the start-ups selected to participate in the Energy Camp:
- Individual coaching by experienced entrepreneurs.
- Participation in the workshop in Kampala.
- Participationin the final Startup|Energy Award. The winner of the award receives prize money of 5,000 Euros for the further development of their startup.
- Networking with partners from the Startup|Energy community: investors, partner companies, accelerators.
Startup|Energy is a joint initiative of the University of Freiburg and the Stiftung Solarenergie to promote regional and international exchange between startups in the field of decentralised, renewable energy supply in D-A-CH and East Africa.
