One of Ethiopia’s largest solar systems for a rural hospital

The Ethiopian Solar Energy Foundation has electrified the Rural Primary Hospital in Maji with a 33.6 kWp solar system.

Maji is an old and small town located in the western part of Ethiopia, 760Kms distance from the capital city of Addis Ababa. People in Maji lack the primary infrastructure, electricity, water and even road access. Because of lack of electricity, essential services like medical suffer a lot.

The 33.6 kWp solar power system not only provides reliable lighting, but also powers the medical equipment, such as the Xray machine, Autoclave, Fridges, Laundry Machine and others.
