OFF-GRID Expo + Conference 2020 – first mover in the scene?

Since the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic, numerous conferences and events of the off-grid industry have been cancelled or postponed until next year. In the meantime, conferences are taking place again, but mostly only virtually. This makes it possible to keep the exchange among each other going. And many organizers have discovered previously unknown opportunities for virtual communication.

However, the typical and important elements of a live event are missing: the personal, informal contact, the casual meeting “on the sidelines” of a conference or even the spontaneous meeting and appointment.

All organizers are therefore eagerly waiting for the Corona measures to make it possible again to switch from virtual to live mode and to hold conferences, trade fairs and training sessions live again.

The first attempt is now made by the

OFF-GRID Expo + Conference 2020

It will take place from 2 to 4 December 2020 in Augsburg (Germany) – live and physically!

The two-day trade fair for off-grid solar, wind and hydropower systems and self-sufficient power supply which has now firmly established itself in the scene.

Off-grid Conference

While some speakers will discuss the electrification of off-grid regions after the corona pandemic and innovative energy services for low-income communities on December 3, others will present innovations from small wind power research and practice on December 4. Afterwards, manufacturers of fuel cells, monitoring systems and storage systems will explain new solutions, trends and technologies for energy storage systems for rural electrification.

Safe exhibition days for visitors and exhibitors

In addition to international speakers from associations, networks, universities, manufacturers and service providers, the Messe Augsburg has succeeded in attracting around 40 exhibitors and partners for the accompanying OFF-GRID Expo. These include, for example, the electronics company KATEK, the inverter and charge controller manufacturer Studer Innotec and the provider of autonomous power supply solutions Victron Energy.

Most important: The Messe Augsburg’s hygiene plan fulfils all safety and hygiene standards set by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. For instance: Masks are compulsory for all participants.

Interactive supporting programme

In addition to the trade fair and the conference, this year’s event will again feature an interactive supporting programme with a hands-on workshop under the expert guidance of experienced installers, business speed dating for making quick acquaintances, an education mile with presentations from colleges and universities, and an OFF-GRID sale for bargain hunters.

First Mover

The OFF-GRID Expo + Conference 2020 will thus probably become the first mover of the conference and exhibition industry within the off-grid sector. So if you would like to experience a lively live conference of the off-grid industry this year after all, you should register.
