Startup|Energy is pleased to announce that two more African energy startups have been accepted into the Accelerator programme:
Kiri EV Ltd (Nairobi, Kenya): The startup offers holistic end-to-end affordable and clean energy mobility services, from electric motorcycles, scooters and tuktuks to battery swapping stations across Kenya and Africa. We help increase our riders’ earnings while lowering their carbon footprint, making our cities greener, healthier and more sustainable.
Germark Holdings Ltd (Iringa/Dar es Salaam, Tanzania): Germark invented a solar powered vending machine for decentralized distribution of bio-ethanol cooking fuel to marginalized communities. The vending machine ensures that energy is accessible at low-cost and also convenience at buyer’s location.
In a first step, both startups receive several weeks of coaching by experienced entrepreneurs to improve and sharpen their business model. Afterwards, they become a member of the Startup|Energy community as a Fellow.
