Technical Associate – Accra

As we expand, we are seeking a dynamic Technical Associate to support the implementation, quality assurance, and after-sales service of solar solutions for our local customers nationwide.

Role Overview

The Technical Associate at MPower Ghana will report directly to the Country Manager with dotted line to the Head of Engineering. He will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support, assisting in project installation, ensuring quality checks, and delivering responsive after-sales service. S/he will possess a solid technical foundation in Electrical or Solar Energy and a commitment to high-quality service delivery; working closely with the entire operations teams to ensure excellent performance in project implementation and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support and Project Implementation

  • Co-Lead in the Installation of Solar Photovoltaic Systems.
  • Prepare technical drawings for installations.
  • Assist in planning project implementation for installation contracts.
  • Examine faulty materials and repair where possible or recommend a solution.

 

2. Quality Assurance and Client Engagement

  • Perform quality checks on product and service delivery.
  • Support in preparing tender documents and submissions.
  • Meeting with clients to discuss project goals and requirements.

 

3. Sales Support and Customer Service

  • Participate in sales events.
  • Respond and provide after-sales service.
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships.

 

4. In general

  • Be ready to aid where essential.
  • Perform any other duties as needed to meet the job expectations.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Solar/Renewable Energy Engineering or a relevant technical Diploma.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in solar PV installation or technical support, or a recent graduate with strong internship experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of solar energy systems, including installation processes and repair.
  • Foundational knowledge of project implementation and site assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with solar design software and tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Certification from the Energy Commission or the Engineering Council of Ghana is desirable.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
