Tech-sales Coordinator – Accra

As we expand, we are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Tech-sales Coordinator to oversee and drive the end-to-end process of solar solutions for our local customers nationwide.

Role Overview

The Tech-Sales Coordinator at MPower Ghana will report directly to the Country Manager and will be responsible for driving sales of solar products, overseeing solar system sizing, and supervising the tech-sales team. The role’s owner will possess a strong technical background in Electrical or solar energy Engineering with a strong experience in sales, and a passion for excellency in service delivery. S/he will work closely with the sales and technical teams to ensure top quality services and performance in the sales, after-sales and solar projects implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales:

  • Promote and sell solar products and solutions to residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and assess their solar energy needs.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and assistance.

 

2. Solar System Sizing:

  • Assess clients’ energy requirements and liaise with the Global Head of Engineering to design customized solar energy solutions to meet their needs.
  • Perform detailed site assessments to determine optimal solar system sizing and configuration.
  • Build and deliver clear quotations to clients and technical proposals for tender submissions.
  • Use solar design software and tools to create accurate and efficient solar system designs.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients on solar system performance and benefits.

 

3. Customer Support and Engagement:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales and installation process.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
  • Educate clients on the benefits and usage of solar energy systems, promoting sustainable energy practices.

 

4. Others:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project progress.
  • Prepare regular sales and performance reports for management review.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Develop and Lead a Team of tech-sales with the Goal of Enhancing Efficiency and Effectiveness.
  • Foster cordial relationships among all internal staff.
  • Perform any other duties as needed to meet the job expectations.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Solar/Renewable Energy Engineering;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of solar energy systems, including design and installation;
  • Experience with Commercial and Industrial Solar systems is a big advantage;
  • Significant background in project management;
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Team leader with a goal of Enhancing Efficiency and Effectiveness to get the job done;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Proficiency in solar design software and tools;
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations;
  • Certification form the Energy Commission or the Engineering Council of Ghana is mandatory;
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
