As a Sales Manager for Renewable energy (Solar), you will be responsible for driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets for our solar products. This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the solar industry, strong sales acumen, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for electricity metering products to achieve revenue goals. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
2. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including utility companies, government agencies, and other potential customers. Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
3. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by actively prospecting and acquiring new customers. Collaborate with the product development team to understand market demands and contribute to the development of new metering solutions.
4. Sales Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team to ensure they meet individual and team targets. Provide ongoing training and support to enhance the team’s product knowledge and sales skills.
5. Market Research and Analysis:
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in electricity metering.
Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats.
6. Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for the executive team.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
7. Contract Negotiation:
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
8. Trade Shows and Events:
Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and events to showcase products and network with potential clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in sales, with a focus on electricity metering or related products.
- Strong understanding of electricity metering technology, regulations, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership experience with a track record of building and managing successful sales teams.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
