Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Solar PV and BESS Engineer based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The engineer will be responsible for designing, installing, and commissioning solar power systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS). They will oversee project implementation, conduct technical assessments, perform system optimization, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role also requires managing technical issues during project execution and providing technical support throughout the lifecycle of each project.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Solar Industry practices, Solar Power systems, and Solar Systems integration
- Proven experience in PV Design and Electrical Design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines effectively
- Knowledge of battery energy storage system (BESS) design and operation is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Professional certification or training in renewable energy systems is advantageous
