Description
We’re looking for an experienced Installation Manager to join a leading Solar EPC company with a strong presence in East Africa. With multi-megawatt projects in the pipeline, you’ll play a key role in bringing these projects to completion and helping shape the company’s future.
This role is ideal for someone with practical experience in Solar PV and Battery Storage System installations, and the ability to lead and manage teams in challenging project environments.
If you apply for this role, you should be willing to relocate permanently to Arusha, Tanzania and be open to shared accommodation and frequent regional travel.
Education Requirements
- Wireman’s License or N6 in Electrical Engineering
- Relevant technical qualification or trade certification in Electrical Installation or Renewable Energy is preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the installation and supervision of Solar PV and Battery Storage (BESS) Systems
- Proven track record managing off-grid and battery-based installations
- Experience in troubleshooting, fault-finding and monitoring of renewable energy assets
- Demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience in a technical installation environment
- Comfortable with relocating to Tanzania and travelling frequently across East Africa
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage installation teams on various Solar PV and BESS project sites
- Ensure installations comply with design, quality, and safety standards
- Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and commissioning
- Maintain documentation and assist with reporting on project progress and performance
- Provide training and technical support to local technicians and subcontractors
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to deliver projects on time and within scope
