About The Role
The Head of Marketing will lead Sun King’s global market strategy and execution to support the sale of solar-powered home energy solutions through the company’s direct-to-consumer, ‘Pay As You Go’ channel and its (B2C) distribution channels.
They will build Sun King’s brand to consumers and its corporate brand and deliver product, market and consumer insights to help inform commercial direction.
The Head of Marketing will lead a 60-member department distributed across Sun King’s 11 operating countries and collaborate closely with the company’s country commercial leaders and its New Product Development, Research and Procurement, Operations and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Sun King’s global marketing department: building, mentoring, and managing the performance of a 60-member global team; overseeing marketing budgets, the effectiveness of activities and ROI on marketing spend; and managing projects that often involve involvement across multiple departments.
- Develop and grow the Sun King brand image and positioning strategy: work with the in-house creative team (and outside agencies when useful) to create great content; select communication channels based on a strong understanding of our target customer segments by product and market; and work with channel partners to help them deliver strong results selling Sun King in their markets
- Work closely with the Head of Communications to support initiatives (e.g. related to major milestones) and implement broader corporate communications initiatives at the local level.
- Oversee product marketing: work closely with New Product Development and Research and Procurement teams to support product positioning decisions, deliver branding assets and launch plans for new products
- Lead consumer and market insights research to build Sun King’s understanding of its clients, its agent network, market dynamics and competitive environment focused on improving decision-making across Sun King departments
- Create and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive revenue and build a strong corporate brand
