ColdHubs Ltd. (www.coldhubs.com) is a social enterprise that designs, installs, commissions, and operates 100% solar-powered 3tons, 10tons and 100tons walk-in cold rooms branded as “ColdHubs”, in markets and farm clusters. The Hubs are used by smallholder farmers, retailers, and wholesalers, to store and preserve fresh fruits, vegetables, and other perishable foods 24/7, extending their shelf life from 2 days to 21 days.

ColdHubs offers world class refrigerated transportation service using a fleet of remotely monitored, brand new 10 and 20tons refrigerated trucks and 3.5tons vans to maintain the integrity of fresh produce during distribution.

ColdHubs produces returnable plastic crates for the appropriate packaging of fresh fruits and vegetables. The crates are specially designed to optimize supply chain and logistics operations. They are stackable, durable, and lightweight, making them ideal for transporting goods efficiently, reducing transportation costs, and minimizing fresh produce damage.

ColdHubs ColdConnect Mobile Application enables customers to reserve spaces in our cold rooms, order and monitor refrigerated trucks or vans, purchase or rent packaging materials virtually.

We seek to hire a full-time COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGER (CISM), to oversee our communications, data management, branding, social media and information technology systems. The CISM will lead the Communication and Information Systems Department of ColdHubs Limited, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO); the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ColdHubs Limited.

RESPONSIBILITIES – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

• Leads the implementation of ColdHubs Corporate Communications, Data Protection and Information Systems Policy.
• Plans, prepares and implements public relations and institutional communication programs designed to make ColdHubs Limited better known by various audiences, and establishes and maintains ColdHubs credibility and good reputation as Nigeria’s leading cold chain company.
• Identifies and develops key topics and cover stories for ColdHubs monthly newsletter – N’Chekwa.
• Leads the installation, management and maintenance of remote monitoring devices and sensors in each cold room.
• Leads the installation, management and maintenance of tracking devices and sensors in refrigerated trucks and vans.
• Leads the development, management and maintenance of ColdConnect mobile app.
• Leads the management and maintenance of ColdHubs Limited website and all social media pages – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc.
• Selects and approves use of graphics design, video and radio editing software.
• Approves all digital marketing and social media messages.
• Manages all ColdHubs Limited printing work.
• Innovates ideas to continuously improve communications, data management, branding, social media and information technology systems for ColdHubs Limited.
• Leads the Communication and Information Systems Department, facilitates weekly departmental meetings, onboards new staff/volunteers/interns and offers training.
• Reports to the CEO, COO and the CFO
• Resumes daily at ColdHubs Headquarters in Owerri, Imo State.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: University Degree in Mass Communication, or other communications related field.
• Job experience: 8 to 10 years of solid, practical, and working knowledge in communication, data management, branding, social media and information technology systems.
• Languages: Excellent knowledge of English and another local language.
• Strong research and analytical skills, continuous innovation to improve communication will be required.
• Self-motivated and trustworthy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Focused. Attention to Detail.
• Excellent organizational skills, as performance monitoring, will be done every quarter.
• Excellent computer skills.
