Call for Experts – On and Off Grid Energy Experts

Around the globe, RTI develops and implements low emission energy technology alternatives, raises private financing for clean energy infrastructure and innovation, works with governments on legal and regulatory reforms to alleviate bottlenecks in energy generation and consumption, and increases access to clean energy to sustain economic growth and reduce poverty. We are looking to expand our knowledge and practice to support the development of sound energy infrastructure, enable energy sector reforms, and support energy advancements in sub-Saharan Africa. To build on these efforts, RTI is currently seeking professionals with senior- and mid-level expertise in the on grid and off grid energy sector in sub-Saharan Africa.

Candidates should be fluent in English and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy sector. We are currently accepting CVs/resumes for technical experts with experience in the following areas:

  • Renewable energy and just energy transition, including hydro, wind, solar, biomass, geothermal, or fuel cell
  • Climate change
  • Energy efficiency and demand-side management
  • Clean energy technologies
  • Generation, transmission, and distribution
  • Electric utility reform and restructuring
  • International and regional power exchange and power trading
  • Rural electrification, including mini-grids and solar home systems experience
  • Access to finance
  • Monitoring and evaluation
  • Private sector engagement and partnerships
  • Enabling environment
  • Communications and knowledge management
  • Environmental and social impact
  • Gender, equity, and social inclusion
  • Policy and legal regulatory frameworks
